Quite often it is mined from Amethyst and Smoky Quarts and heat treated to look like Citrine. To care for your jewellery:

Clean gently with a soft cloth; no polishing agents needed.
While our PVD-plated pieces are water-resistant, we recommend removing jewellery before swimming or heavy shower use to extend its life.
